The Beach

Welcome to Porthminster Beach. Located right next to St Ives branch line station, the station car park and a short walk from St Ives town centre. Porthminster is ideally located for your perfect day at the beach and we are very proud to be continually picked out as one of the best beaches in the UK. As well as the golden sand, azure blue seas and stunning views of St Ives Bay, we have excellent beach facilities available, from beach take aways to our outdoor kitchen, Gin & Cocktail Bar and beach shop stocked with everything you could possibly want for a day at the beach.

Visit Our Townside Takeaway

Situated at the other end of the beach to our café/ restaurant, the takeaway has been set up with families in mind.

We have created a menu of traditional snacks typical for the beach; including Cornish pasties, freshly prepared baguettes (which can be made to order), chips, hamburgers and hot dogs. We also boast a licensed bar with cocktails, draught beer and hot and cold drinks.

Ice Cream Parlour

Located on the ‘town-side’ end of the beach the parlour caters for everyone with a wide variety of Cornish ice creams, cones and tubs.

Beach Shops

Forgotten anything for your day at the beach? Not only do we cater for you with our shops, we also stock everything from wetsuits and dinghies, to toys and sweets. Also the shops hire out deckchairs, windbreaks and parasols for your convenience.

Gin & Cocktail Bar

Our putting green’s 19th hole has expanded to include a fully licensed bar with cocktails, freshly ground coffee, cream teas and our outdoor kitchen & barbeque which offers local handmade burgers, locally caught fish and vegetarian options.
